Not everything at St Michael’s happens on a Sunday and much of what we do during the week takes place outside our church building. There are a number of different groups that meet in other places and at other times during the week. Find out the latest details for all our groups by checking the Events calendar.

Thursday evening group

Our Thursday evening home group meets each week from 8pm to 9.30pm in different homes to look more closely at specific parts of the bible and talk through what that might mean for life today. This is a great time to ask questions, study bible passages in more detail and pray together.

Tuesday morning group

Our Tuesday morning home group meets each week from 10am to 11.30am to look more closely at specific parts of the bible and talk through what that might mean for life today. This is a great time to ask questions, study bible passages in more detail and pray together.

Coffee plus group

Our Coffee Plus group meets each week on a Thursday morning in different people’s homes. The group enjoys lots of coffee and cake as well as supporting each other. Social time is usually followed by watching a DVD or hearing a talk about Christian living.

Men’s Breakfasts

On the last Saturday of every month at 8.30am, a group of men meet in the Angler’s Arms in Welden Bridge for a cooked breakfast and to hear someone speak about their life, their hobbies, their faith or whatever they want to talk about! Just turn up, all welcome.

Food & Fun

We have a heart for building relationships and a deeper sense of community, supporting one another on life’s journeys. Our Food & Fungroup meets each Thursday from 12noon to 1.30pm in the church and aims to provide a wonderful place for those 0-4 years old and support their parents, grandparents and carers. This group is completely child friendly and everyone is welcome to come along and try it.

Social

A group of ladies from the village and the church meet at the Northumberland Arms pub every Tuesday between 7.45 and 9.30pm to chat, catch up and have a drink! It is a perfect way to meet new people and get to know more about the church and community. All local ladies are welcome!
