The Rt Reverend Mark Wroe, Bishop of Berwick and acting Bishop of Newcastle, is pleased to announce that the Rev’d Richard Townend, at present assistant curate of Emmanuel Church Bridlington with Barmston, in the Diocese of York, has been appointed Priest in Charge of Felton and Longframlington with Brinkburn, Whittingham with Edlingham and Bolton Chapel

His licensing and installation will be held at St Michael’s on Monday 13th March 2023. Please keep Rich and his wife Emma, in your prayers, as well as their three children Belle, Jasmine and Zoey, as they prepare to begin their ministry among us in the parishes and deanery.

Rich says: ‘We are thrilled to have been called to serve in Northumberland, and look forward to building new friendships in Felton, Longframlington and Whittingham.
