Thank you to the team of people who created and delivered the lovely boxes of Easter treats this weekend. They were much appreciated by those who received them.

I’m sure you will all agree Margaret and Dave had surpassed eggspectations again by hatching this kind idea and just making it happen!  The boxes looked so professional. A huge thank you to them.

We hope 2021 will bring renewed hope to return to life albeit in a new way of living and be able to serve both afternoon tea and lunch to the seniors in our community in the Village Hall – maybe not this year but early spring 2022 hopefully.

Although the prayer card within the boxes has a message from St Michael’s, Margaret in particular, wishes everyone to know that it is not St Michael’s exclusively taking credit for this wee project but that it is a community effort for the community we all live in. Margaret steered things along but her original inspiration was that of Heather Jackson, founder of the original afternoon teas, at the then United Reformed Church in West Thirston. Just lots of kind willing volunteers with Christian values helping others. Happy Easter to all.
