It was wonderful to welcome all of Felton Primary School, as well as parents and the community, to St Michael’s  for our first ‘Carols and Christingle Service’ for the school and community. Specially created bags of all the component parts of a Christingle had been put together in advance (many thanks to all those who helped with that) and so everyone had the chance to make their own Christingle during the service.  James retold us the story of the origins of the first Christingle and helped us understand the meaning of all the various parts (orange, candle, sweets, red ribbon)  The Nativity story was retold through bible readings read by the pupils and we enjoyed 2 lovely performances from the children singing ‘Knock, knock’ and ‘O Holy Night’.
